Our beautifully renovated 2-story log cabin offers a blend of rustic country charm with sleek, modern design, comfort and convenience. On the main level, guests can enjoy the warmth of a wood-burning stove (firewood is provided), large cozy sectional sofa that opens to a double bed (linens are provided), tv with DVD player, board games and a selection of books and magazines. Guest Wifi is included. A fully-equipped kitchen and eating area allow guests to prepare their own meals - amenities include coffee maker (coffee, sugar and sweetener provided), kettle (tea provided), microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator, oven with stove top (pots, pans and cooking utensils) and outdoor BBQ for added convenience. Guests staying in the cabin can also order meals at time of booking prepared by owner and chef, Jeff, delivered directly to the cabin from our commercial kitchen. Retreat upstairs to the second floor spacious bedroom with king size bed, 3-piece bathroom (towels, soap, hair dryer and iron provided) and bright reading nook overlooking the Hockley hills and valleys. Off the main bedroom is an additional room for quiet lounging and enjoying extraordinary views, or can be used as a second bedroom for families with small children (small chaise lies flat doubling as a child-size bed - linens are provided).
The cabin is cooled in the summer by ceiling fan and air conditioning unit, and heated in the winter by wood-burning stove and/or hot water rad units and additional wall unit.

The cabin is set away from our family home, tucked behind beautiful 9 foot evergreen hedges offering a truly private and magical oasis. Backed by acres of natural hardwood forests and trails, enjoy our shorter groomed paths, or explore further the Bruce Trails or Island Lake Park. During summer months guests are welcome to enjoy our pool!
